What a ride 2021 has been! Despite the pandemic creating a few ups and downs in regards to logistics and materials prices, we’ve managed to glide through 2021 with a little bit of growth and high expectations for 2022. Vintage Porch Swings has been able to offer free shipping to the continental United States and has extended our reduced-cost shipping zones to include Canada. We have welcomed more designers and resorts into our wholesale program, built an amazing circle of friends on social media and created relationships with builders of hotels and homes in new coastal neighborhoods. The most exciting part is that we are growing exponentially in major markets such as New York and California, where our name has become synonymous with “Carolina traditional furniture-making.”
The motivations at our company are integrity in our relationships, humility in our service, and keeping our customers for life. When you purchase a Vintage Porch Swing, you become a part of our family and we treat every bed swing and cushion we handcraft for customers as if we are making it for our immediate family.
As 2022 approaches, I want to reiterate our commitment to our customers as we all remain hopeful that the economy will level out and get back to great in the next year. We look forward to having a showroom in the future and possibly a bigger production facility as demand grows for our swings and cushions. We’ve not raised our swing prices in several years and are hopeful we won’t have to in 2022. Shipping continues to detract from our ability to offer steep sale discounts, but if a person wants to pick-up from the shop or provide their own courier, we continue to welcome that option and we’ll provide a bigger savings on their purchases.
